Twitter is the social networking site for online marketers. Twitter is so easy to use and can be so effective for building relationships and marketing online that it has quickly become one of the most used tools for simple online marketing. It can be used by anyone who has anything to market online from network marketers to affiliate marketers to bloggers. Simply put, if you do any sort of business online Twitter can be a great tool for you to use.
1. Follow People First
About 50% of the people you follow will follow you back so when you sign up you want to start following as many people as possible.
Twitter only allows you to follow 2000 people before they cut you off. If however, more than 2000 people follow you you can follow a few more. This rule is simply meant to keep people from following EVERYONE in hopes of getting them to all follow you back. They just don't want it to be abused.
So follow 2000 people or so and you should get around 1000 followers out of the deal. That's a great start!
Also, make sure that you are following people who are relevant to what you're marketing. So if you have a product you're marketing for stay at home moms you'll want to follow a lot of stay at home moms... simple enough.
2. Say Something Worth Repeating
If you can get someone to re-tweet (RT) your original tweet that will give you some extra exposure because it will show up on their twitter page as well. Obviously you aren't going to be able to know what someone will want to RT but by making sure that you're putting out good quality tweets (nothing overly spammy or salesy) you should be on the right track.
Sometimes even something silly and funny will be RTed it really just depends on your audience.
3. Be Conversational
Twitter is a SOCIAL network. It's not just meant to be a place to say things it's a place to interact as well. If you're not talking to other people you're missing out on a big part of Twitter. Also, when someone talks to you your username will show up on their page which might cause other people to pay attention to you and follow you as well.
4. Have Good Content
I sort of touched on this before but I want to say it again. If you have good content you are much more likely to be followed on Twitter. Tweet things that are helpful, tips, inspirational quotes... whatever. But don't just use it as a place to throw out your link every 10 minutes because people will quickly un-follow you if you do this and very few people will want to follow you in the first place if they see that all you do is spam.
I got started in network marketing in the summer of 2009. I was lucky joining Carbon Copy Pro, The most powerfull Network Marketing Training Platform of the Entire Internet.
