Two days when Floyd Mayweather Jr. used a video distribution website to go on a profanity-laced rant stuffed with racist plus homophobic statements aimed toward Manny Pacquiao, Mayweather apologized.
"I do wish to apologize for what happened the opposite night time," Mayweather said. "I need to express regret to all people as a result of everyone felt it was a racist remark that came from me. I don't have a racist bone in my body, you know."
Early Thursday morning, Mayweather took to the Ustream web site to launch a verbal assault on Pacquiao, the pound-for-pound king from the Philippines, whom Mayweather has refused to fight.
The rant, in which Mayweather also reasserted claims that Pacquiao makes use of performance-enhancing medicine, came whereas Pacquiao was in the midst of a 3-city media tour to promote his Nov. 13 HBO PPV battle with Antonio Margarito at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
The video created a direct backlash towards Mayweather, who took to Ustream once more Friday night to offer an apology near the tip of an roughly forty-minute video, during which he's seen hanging out, apparently in his Las Vegas dwelling, with members of his entourage.
After a few half hour of frivolous banter, Mayweather, seated at a table and searching into the digital camera, turned extra serious, though he by no means apologized on to Pacquiao.
